Short answer - yes you can!

When you think Sri Lanka, probably what spring to mind is surfing, white sandy beaches, rice and curry and beautiful temples! But add freediving to your list!

Two freedivers in Sri Lanka

Freediving Sri Lanka launched in 2023 as the first freediving school on the island. Co-founder Niro had been visiting the island as a surfer for over 10 years and had fallen in love with the idea of being able to surf AND freedive everyday. He decided to share his passion in life with visitors to Sri Lanka and Freediving Sri Lanka was born!

Sri Lanka is an ideal place to learn to freedive. We dive in beautiful, calm, warm waters to dive in, surrounded by fish and even turtles and manta rays! The visibility can vary, but often extends beyond 10 metres.

Freediving Sri Lanka has shared freediving with hundreds of travellers, some new to the sport, some seasoned divers and our 5* Google reviews tell the story of their experience.

If you're looking for a unique experience on your next trip to Sri Lanka - look no further than Freediving Sri Lanka.
